In the recent Notice released by the SSC on its official website, SSC has announced its collaboration with the UMANG app of the MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) of GOI. Now candidates can check all the latest News, Notice of Examination, Result of Examinations, Examination Calendar, Vacancies, and more on UMANG app. The application is available on both Google Play Store (in case of Android users) and iTunes App Store (in case of Apple users). 

SSC is the recruitment commission that conducts various exams for the recruitment of candidates for various departments under the Government of India. The exams commenced under the commission are Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL), Combined Graduate Level (CGL), Sub Inspectors in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces & Assistant Sub Inspectors in CISF Exam, Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying, and Contract), Combined Junior Hindi Translators, Senior Translators, and Hindi Pradhyapak, Junior Translators, Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and Stenographers Grade C and D.

About UMANG App

UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) App of MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) was developed to drive the Mobile governance in India. On this platform, a person can have access to all the information related to e-Gov services from Central to Local government bodies and other citizen-centric services at Pan India level. UMANG service is available on multiple channels like mobile App, IVR, SMS and web to provide access to all the information.

In the recent announcement of SSC about the collaboration with UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) app, the following modules of SSC will be made available on the application. Under these modules all the SSC exams will be covered:

How to Download UMANG App?

The candidates can visit the Google Play Store (in case of Android users) and iTunes App Store (in case of Apple users) and type the “UMANG” in the search column. The below-given screen will appear and press Install to get it. 

Once the candidates download the UMANG app, they need to follow the below-given steps to reach for the SSC exam modules:

  1. Candidates need to login through given options or Click ‘’Register here’’.

  2. Now sort through categories column filter.

  3. Search for SSC services
