SSC MTS 2020 exam dates were released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in its tentative exam Calendar on 30.09.2019. The SSC MTS exam 2020 is conducted to recruit the candidates for a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-ministerial post in various Ministries/Departments/Offices of the government of India, in different States/Union Territories. As per the SSC tentative exam calendar, SSC MTS notification 2020 get released on 02.06.2020, but due to Corona virus pandemic exam is likely to get delayed till further notice. SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria
SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria is divided into 3 Categories:
1. Nationality/ Citizenship of the Candidates
2. Education Qualification
3. Age Limit
Nationality/ Citizenship – Candidate must be a Citizen on India.
Education Qualification- Candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Age Limit- Candidates, minimum age should be 18 years and maximum be 27 years for the posts. The upper Age Limit is relaxed for different categories as under:
PwD (SC/ ST)
03 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on closing date of receipt of online application
Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989

SSC MTS Exam Pattern
SSC MTS exam is the Matriculation (10th) pass exam to recruit candidates for group ‘C’, non-gazetted posts in various ministries/departments/offices of government of India. It is imperative for the eligible candidates to understand SSC MTS exam pattern to prepare in the right direction.
SSC MTS exam is structured in 2 stages called Tier-1 & Tier-2. In which Tier-I is the Computer Based Examination and Tier-2 is a Descriptive Paper.
SSC MTS Tier-1 Exam Pattern
- SSC MTS Tier-1 exam is the computer Base Multiple-choice paper with 4 options to choose the one correct option.
- SSC MTS Tier-1 exam is divided into 4 sections, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude & English Comprehension.
- In a total of 100 questions, each section has 25 questions in it.
- There is a negative marking of ¼ or .25 marks for each wrong choice of answer.
SSC MTS Tier-2 Exam Pattern
The candidates who qualify the SSC MTS Tier-1 Cut-off as prescribed by the commission for different categories, gets eligible to take SSC MTS Tier-2 exam. Tier-2 of the exam is descriptive in nature. The pattern of the exam is given below:
Short Essay or Letter
In English or in any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution
- Tier-2 is the descriptive paper in which candidates need to write a short essay or letter in English or any language included in the VIII schedule of the constitution.
- SSC MTS Tier-2 exam is only qualifying in nature.
- Tier-2 marks will only be considered to decide the merit if more than one candidates score equal normalized marks in Tier-I exam.
SSC MTS Syllabus 2020
SSC MTS 2020 is conducted in 2 stages, in which 1st stage i.e. Tier-1, is computer Based Examination, consist of 4 sections include General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness. - SSC MTS exam Application fee is Rs 100/- (One hundred only).
- Female candidates and the candidates belong to SC/ST, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempted from payment of fee.
- The application fee can be paid online or offline mode.

SSC MTS Previous Year Cut-off
