SSC CHSL 2020

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC CHSL exam for the various posts like Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants (PA/SA), Data Entry Operator (DEO), Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC), Court Clerk. For SSC CHSL 2018, a total of 29.68 candidates had registered for the exam. Out of which, around 13.17 lakh appeared for the SSC CHSL 2018 exam.

 

This year SSC will release the notification of SSC CHSL 2019 on 3rd December 2019. With the release of the notification, the link to apply will also get activated, and it will remain active till the closing date i.e., 10th January 2020.

 
So, all those who dream to work with central Government and want to earn handsome pay with all the pay perquisites, start preparing now as the exam is scheduled to be held from 16th March 2020 to 27th March 2020 in various shifts.

SSC CHSL 2020- Application Fee

  • Application fee for the exam is Rs 100/- (One hundred only).
  • Female candidates and the candidates belong to SC/ST, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempted from payment of fee.
  • The application fee can be paid online or offline mode. 

SSC CHSL 2020- Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility to apply for the SSC CHSL is divided into 3 Categories:

  1. Nationality/ Citizenship of the Candidates
  2. Education Qualification
  3. Age Limit

Nationality/ Citizenship – Candidate must be a Citizen on India 

Education Qualification:

  • For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): The Candidate must have cleared Higher Secondary (12th) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. 
  • For Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG):12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics from a recognized Board or equivalent.

Age Limit:  

Candidates, minimum age be 18 years and maximum be 27 years for the posts. The upper Age Limit is relaxed for different categories as under:

SSC CHSL 2020- Exam Selection Process

SSC Complete Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) is the 12th pass exam in which candidates get shortlisted by screening them at different Tiers. So, it is imperative to understand the Exam to get selected for your dream job. The Exam is conducted in 3 (Three) Tiers as given below:

Tier-I is the first stage of the exam, and those who qualify the cut-off of their category will get eligible for the Tier-II of the Exam, which is a descriptive paper in Pen-paper mode. Finally, those who qualify will be called for the Skill Test, which is only qualifying in nature. For overall merit, only Tier-I and Tier-II will be considered. Tier-III is qualifying in nature. 

SSC CHSL 2020- Exam Syllabus
