RRB Group D 2020: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) had released the RRB Group-D notification 2020 for the recruitment of 103769 vacancies in various post like Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical, and S&T departments), Assistant Pointsman and level-I posts in other departments. With the release of recruitment Notification, RRB releases all the important dates, Eligibility criteria, Examination process, Syllabus, state-wise Vacancies, etc. In this article, we have covered all the details related to the RRB Group D exam 2020.
RRB Group D Notification 2020
RRB Group D notification 2020 was released by the Railway recruitment board (RRB) on 23rd February 2019 to do recruitment for 103769 vacancies under the various Level-1 Group D posts of Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant, and Assistant Pointsman. The online window to apply for the exam was from 12th March 2019 to 12th April 2019 on the official RRB website.
Latest: Railway has not announced the examination date and admit card release date till date. The exam is tentatively be held in November 2020.

With the release of RRB Group D notification 2020, the total number of vacancies in various railway zones is also announced. The eligible candidates can apply from only 1 railway zone. If the candidates fill the application from multiple zones, then the railway reserves the right to cancel all the applications. RRB Group D 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The Eligibility criteria of the candidates for the RRB Group D post is divided into 3 categories as given below. Any candidate who fails to provide relevant documents of fulfilling all eligibility criteria at the time of document verification, his/her candidature would be stand cancel. So before applying the exam, candidates should check their eligibility as provided by the Board.

A candidate must be either:
A. a citizen of India, or
B. a subject of Nepal, or
C. a subject of Bhutan, or
D. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
E. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
- Candidates must be matriculation (10th) pass from the recognized board/NCVT/SCVT or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in lieu, of course, completed Act Apprenticeship / ITI. Also, Graduate Act Apprentice will not be accepted in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship
The candidates’ age should be in between 18 and 33 years. The upper and lower age limit is reckoned as on 01.07.2019.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern
RRB Group D exam pattern consists of 4 stages of which Stage 1 is a Computer-based multiple-choice paper followed by PET, DV & Medical Examination. The candidates need to clear each stage to get into the final merit list of the selected candidates.

RRB Group D CBT 1 exam pattern
Computer-Based Test (CBT) is the first stage of the RRB Group D exam. The section-wise bifurcation of Questions/marks is as below:

- There is a negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer.
- The minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR- 40%, EWS- 40%, OBC (Non- Creamy layer)- 30%, SC-30%, & ST-30%.
- The Railway Administration reserves the right to treat the first stage CBT as a qualifying test for shortlisting a reasonable number of candidates for the second stage.
- The exam duration for the PwBD candidates accompanied by the scribe is 120 minutes.

RRB Group D Pay Scale
The candidates recruited under RRB Group D have the basic salary of Rs 18000 under the Level 1 of Pay matrix. The details of basic salary pay scale are as below:

RRB Group D Application Fee
The candidates have to pay the application fee for applying the examination. The RRB Group D Application Fee under different categories is as below:
